ABOUT THIS ROLE

As a Mechanical Estimator and valued member of our client’s team, you will play a critical role in their organization. You will support the current estimating team in delivering accurate and competitive bids and contribute to the overall success of projects through effective bidding and time management practices. Your role includes:

Collaborate with the estimating team, subtrade partners, and vendors to develop comprehensive bids that meet client requirements and industry standards. Analyze contract documents and tender specifications and design drawings to understand project requirements and manage the estimating process with accuracy. Proactively seek out value engineering and cost savings opportunities while mitigating risk, clearly communicating regularly with clients and subcontractors. Build and maintain strong long-lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and project team members. Conduct project reviews and ensure project compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and policies and conduct comprehensive project reviews for improvement.



WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TABLE

​​​​​​​Strong command of the English Language both written and verbal. 3+ years of experience in Mechanical Estimator & project management Proven experience in local civil construction projects or high-rise construction projects, with a strong understanding of industry standards and practices Post-secondary education in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management OR relevant hands-on work experience Proficient with Trimble Accubid and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong teamwork skills Meticulous attention to detail Effective leadership skills and communication with stakeholders Accurate quantity takeoff experience for various work types Proficiency in various applicable software applications and excellent communication skills.



NICE TO HAVES

Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software, with the ability to produce accurate and detailed drawings for project plans and specifications. Class 5 driver's license.
