**Responsibilities**
- Review tender documents and complete ‘Go, No Go’, and risk assessments.
- Issue RFI’s to engineers for any bid documents discrepancies & unclear information.
- Prepare scope of work and send RFQs to subcontractors and suppliers.
- Setup estimates in estimating software.
- Complete accurate civil (and mechanical/structural) takeoffs and cost estimates for materials, labor and equipment.
- Incorporate ground conditions and construction sequences into estimates.
- Review design drawings, identifying errors and solutions to mitigate risk.
- Prepare and submit shop drawings.
- Evaluate quotations and write subcontract agreements.
- Procure equipment and materials on time and under budget.
- Manage and coordinate work with other technical and field staff.
- Provide a safe work environment through continuous training and development.
- Operate with honesty, integrity and respect.

**Skills & Education**
- In depth knowledge of civil construction techniques including earthworks, dewatering, shoring, pipe laying, concrete forming, etc.
- Working knowledge of civil and structural engineering, water and wastewater process engineering.
- Knowledge of environmental and drinking water standards, building codes and safety regulations is an asset.
- AutoCAD experience in an asset.
- Excellent command of the English language both written and verbal.
- Willing to learn on and off the job.
- Proficient in MS Office.
- Valid Driver’s License (some travel within BC may be required and our Langley office is not accessible via public transit).
