About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Estimator and Project Manager to join our team at Hall Constructors. As a key member of our estimating team, you will play a critical role in delivering accurate and competitive bids, and contributing to the overall success of our projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the estimating team, trade partners, and vendors to develop comprehensive bids that meet client requirements and industry standards.
  • Analyze contract documents and tender specifications, and design drawings to understand project requirements and manage the estimating process with accuracy.
  • Proactively seek out value engineering and cost savings opportunities while mitigating risk, clearly communicating regularly with clients and subcontractors.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, vendors, and project team members.
  • Conduct project reviews and ensure project compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and policies, and conduct comprehensive project reviews for improvement.
Requirements
  • Strong command of the English language, both written and verbal.
  • 3+ years of experience in mechanical estimating and project management.
  • Proven experience in local civil construction projects or high-rise construction projects, with a strong understanding of industry standards and practices.
  • Post-secondary education in mechanical engineering or construction management, or relevant hands-on work experience.
  • Proficient with Trimble Accubid and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong teamwork skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Effective leadership skills and communication with stakeholders.
  • Accurate quantity takeoff experience for various work types.
  • Proficiency in various applicable software applications and excellent communication skills.
Nice to Have
  • Proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD software, with the ability to produce accurate and detailed drawings for project plans and specifications.
  • Class 5 driver's license.
