Business Development Coordinator

(this is an onsite role based in downtown Toronto)
Our client is a boutique law firm serving clients across some of the most dynamic industries. Their expertise spans Intellectual Property, Corporate Law, Franchising, and Litigation, particularly in technology, artificial intelligence, software, biotechnology, and more. - Create client-specific pitch decks and RFPs to present law firms' services
- Customize materials to highlight client-relevant strengths and opportunities
- Conduct research to identify strategic opportunities
- Collaborate with lawyers to follow up on client leads, networked contacts, and foreign associates
- Assist lawyers in "packaging" law firms' services to meet specific client needs
- Assist with pitches, sponsorships, and tradeshows
- Coordinate the preparation for 10-20 annual franchise-related conferences, leveraging networking insights to create targeted client outreach lists
Requirements
- Previous experience in business development, marketing, or communications roles
- Familiarity with preparing marketing materials, such as pitch decks and RFPs
- Ability to follow up and gather critical insights from team members
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication
- Skilled at identifying new areas of opportunity through targeted research
- Able to manage multiple projects and deadlines independently
- A proactive, self-motivated attitude with strong judgment
- Comfortable working with minimal oversight while maintaining high standards

Requirements
· 2+ years of previous coordinator or customer success experience. · Previous experience working in a B2B environment preferred. · Experience relevant to client processes and providing exceptional client experiences. · High level of business acumen and professionalism in dealing with clients and stakeholders. · Experience within a legal environment is considered an asset. · Ability to adapt to and learn new applications quickly, demonstrating strong technology savvy. · Proven ability to challenge the norm and thrive in an innovative environment. · Comfortable working independently and in ambiguous situations. · Enjoys wearing multiple hats and taking on various responsibilities. · Possesses a go-getter attitude and enjoys taking ownership of tasks and projects. · Consistently exhibits a high attention to detail and maintains a high level of organization in all tasks and responsibilities.
