Expedia’s Travel Agency Affiliate Program is growing rapidly in Canada, and we need a full-time Western Sales Executive on our team to deliver on Expedia’s growth and market share targets. The Sales Executive is responsible for promoting Expedia ’s online b2b travel agency program to the Canadian travel trade and managing relationships with new and existing travel agent partners in the designated territory and client base. This is a business development and account management role and your activities will include calling accounts, developing business from existing accounts and ensuring account retention.
You will conduct remote and in-person sales calls, provide system training (in-person and through webinars) and participate in events, tradeshows and exhibitions. You will also collaborate with team members to develop marketing campaigns, deliver sales support solutions and interpret analytical data. We are looking for an energetic individual, self-motivated, sales driven and analytical with an appetite to learn and who works equally well independently and as part of a team.
Some travel within the province as well as nationally will be required.
Key attributes and qualifications include
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to make a positive first impression and to form lasting business relationships Strong presentation skills with a high degree of confidence Ability to analyze market data to identify trends and business opportunities Excellent sales skills, adept at articulating ideas clearly and appropriately to influence others Strong organizational skills to maintain customer records and an active sales-pipeline CRM skills, preferably Salesforce Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint Ability to work and thrive in a multi-tasked, fast paced environment Team player who is willing to share ideas, bring a positive attitude and be flexible when needed Required Experience: At least 2 years’ experience in a business development and account development role in the travel industry with demonstrable success.
Remuneration
