Job Description:
The Inside Sales Representative (ISR) is responsible for contacting an existing client base to support the external sales force in the selling efforts for our products and services using verbal and written communication. More specifically, the efforts of the ISR will focus on expanding the product portfolio through the use of effective sales strategies and dialogue. Duties may include: selling in new or existing products, creating leads and increasing revenue to expand our presence within the account(s), cold calling customers that do not currently, or have not purchased from us in the past. The ISR would gather information and expand opportunities for assigned accounts and answer queries the customer may have.
We are hiring two full-time , hybrid office-based roles in Oakville, reporting to the VP Sales. The ISR will receive a base salary and incentives. The ideal start date is October 1.
There are two roles available, one, that is solely focussed on our Optometric Customer base and one that will spend 20% of their time as a customer service representative
Sales Development:
• Execute business initiatives for priority products in Therapeutic areas
• Follow-up on business opportunities from marketing campaigns and social media
• Maintain product and customer data, customer needs and insights utilizing our CRM platform
• Identify key decision makers and establish a plan to initiate contact, generate incremental business, then follow the plan
• Qualify new business opportunities (warm leads) by communicating with customers and prospects and passing these leads on to the local representative
• Maintain strong customer relationship and data, continuously tracking prospects throughout the sales process within CRM
• Respond to customer inquiries or prospect responses to a marketing outreach
• Build rapport with prospects/customers via phone or online
• Communicate the Labtician value proposition and make product/services recommendations
• Identify sales opportunities and close sales to achieve sales targets
• One ISR supports our Customer Service Specialist for front line customer support and order entry (about 20% of role):
– Backup for customer service to respond to customers, enter orders received via email and telephone into Labtician’s ERP system.
– Consult with internal stakeholders to resolve product and service issues
Qualifications:
• Must have a University degree
• Has inside sales or sales experience or a sales driven mindset
• Bilingual (English and French) is a must
• Demonstrates excellent sales or customer service track-record
• Clearly communicates, is articulate and actively listens
• People oriented and experienced in rapport building
• Basic knowledge of CRM or Microsoft software programs
• Fast learner to develop product and industry knowledge
• Excellent time management skills
