Job Description:Job Description We are seeking an experienced Senior Process Improvement Consultant with extensive knowledge in the mining industry, particularly in managing capital projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, implementing, and guiding consultants in developing comprehensive project plans, reviewing these plans regularly, and reporting progress to the President and CEO. Additionally, the Senior Project Manager will be involved in training and coaching consultants, developing, or enhancing project planning processes, and collaborating in the review and development of proposals. Key Responsibilities: 1. Project Planning and Development · Developing and maintaining detailed project plans that guide the implementation of a capital projects management operating system using RJC project planning process and tools · Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that project plans are integrated and account for interdependencies. 2. Process Development and Improvement · Facilitate the development of capital project commissioning processes to ensure project construction scopes progress through operational readiness and transition to operations on time and to budget. · Develop/Formalize and document Capital Projects MOS processes, specifically commissioning processes through a series of workshops and engagement with the process stakeholders · Evaluate existing commissioning processes and make recommendations for improvements. · Develop and implement new processes or enhancements to existing or non-existent commissioning processes to increase efficiency and effectiveness. 3. Project Monitoring and Reporting · Regularly review project plans and monitor progress towards meeting deliverables for project team. · Provide detailed reports on project status, risks, and recommendations to the President and CEO. · Attend and participate in project reviews with project manager 4. Training and Coaching · Train and coach stakeholders in the implementation and execution of the new processes · Develop and maintain training materials and documentation. · Participate in RJC consultant training 5. Stakeholder Management · Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders. · Communicate effectively with stakeholders to ensure alignment and manage expectations. 6. Qualifications: · Bachelor’s degree in mining engineering, Project Management, or a related field. A master’s degree will be considered an asset. · PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent. · Minimum of 10 years of experience in project management, with at least 5 years in the mining industry. · Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale projects and leading teams. · Strong knowledge of mining industry best practices, regulations, and standards. · Strong knowledge and experience delivering capital projects for mining companies. · Strong knowledge in commissioning practices for large construction projects · Excellent communication and presentation skills. · Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. · Proficiency in project management software. · Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities. · Willingness to travel as required.
