We are seeking a detail‑oriented Human Resources Generalist & Talent Acquisition Specialist for a 12–18 month contract , based in Vancouver. This role supports day‑to‑day HR operations and full‑cycle recruitment across the organization and is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional with strong administrative and recruiting experience—ideally within financial services—to contribute to a fast‑growing national firm. Human Resources Generalist Responsibilities Respond to general inquiries from employees and managers to ensure HR processes and policies are followed; Prepare HR documentation and correspondence as required; Enter and maintain accurate data in the HRIS; Administer and process new hires, transfers, departures, compensation changes, vacation eligibility, and related actions; Maintain and update HRIS records to ensure accuracy and compliance; Oversee the onboarding process, ensuring all required documents are completed; Monitor employee eligibility to work in Canada, liaising with external immigration counsel when needed; Ensure all employee deadlines and required paperwork are completed and communicated in a timely manner; Educate employees and managers on Harbourfront’s HR programs and policies; Support HR project implementation and internal training initiatives; Assist with developing and updating HR policies and procedures; Perform additional ad hoc HR duties as required. Talent Acquisition Specialist Responsibilities Coordinate with hiring managers to identify staffing needs; Determine selection criteria for each position; Source potential candidates through online channels (e.g., LinkedIn, Indeed, industry networks); Plan and conduct interview and selection processes, including screening calls, assessments, and in‑person interviews; Maintain, update, and implement recruitment platforms and ATS systems (Indeed, LinkedIn, etc.) to ensure best practices in talent acquisition; Draft job descriptions and interview guides aligned with each role’s requirements. The Ideal Candidate Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources, with exposure to both HR operations and recruitment; Experience in full‑cycle recruitment (sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer coordination); Experience in the financial services industry is strongly preferred; Proficiency with HRIS systems and Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS); Strong understanding of HR policies, processes, and employment standards; Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills; High attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to manage confidential information; Strong organizational and time‑management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Compensation Base pay range: CA$60,000.00 / yr – CA$65,000.00 / yr (actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience, and internal parity).
