Job Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both dental and medical office environments, with experience in managing administrative tasks, supervising staff, and maintaining efficient office operations. This role is crucial for ensuring the smooth functioning of our office and providing excellent support to both staff and patients.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily office operations, ensuring efficiency and adherence to policies.
  • Manage patient scheduling, including appointments and follow-ups.
  • Maintain electronic medical records (EMR) and ensure accuracy in documentation.
  • Assist with human resources functions such as onboarding new staff and maintaining employee records.
  • Supervise administrative staff, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Utilize Dentrix software for patient management and billing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with medical terminology and regulations within the office.
  • Assist in budgeting processes, tracking expenses, and managing office supplies.
  • Provide support in acute care settings when necessary, leveraging nursing experience if applicable.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a dental or medical office is required.
  • Familiarity with Dentrix software is highly desirable.
  • Background in human resources or supervising experience is preferred.
  • Knowledge of electronic medical records systems is essential.
  • Understanding of medical terminology is necessary for effective communication within the office.
  • Experience in budgeting or financial management within an office setting is a plus.
