This is a fully mobile position — no physical office location.

Pawsitive Paws Pet Care is a trusted, force-free pet-care company providing dog walking, vacation care, and in-home pet services across Edmonton. Our business is growing, and we are looking for a reliable, professional Operations Manager to join our team part-time, with the opportunity to grow into a fuller leadership role.

This is a mobile job — you will travel between clients' homes, perform visits, attend meet & greets, and handle administrative tasks from your home or vehicle. We do not operate out of a physical office.

Position Overview

The Operations Manager will begin part-time (5-15 hrs/week), learning our clients, routes, policies, and internal systems.

As our team and client base grow, this role will gradually transition into a broader leadership position supporting operations, scheduling, and client communication.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to clients' homes for dog walking & pet-sitting visits
  • Attend meet & greets with new clients
  • Respond to client messages & assist with scheduling
  • Support daily operations and admin tasks remotely
  • Maintain force-free, fear-free handling practices
  • Build positive relationships with clients and their pets
  • Shadow and train with the owner to learn operational standards

Requirements

  • Must be 18+ (insurance requirement)
  • Valid driver's license & reliable vehicle
  • Able to provide a clean criminal record check
  • Must be comfortable working independently and traveling throughout Edmonton
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Pet First Aid & CPR (or willingness to obtain — paid by company)
  • Fear Free Certification (or willingness to obtain within 3 months — paid by company)
