What you do:

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager, the Regional Operations Manager is the business advisor for Franchisees in their region, working with them to build strategic plans to achieve restaurant-specific goals. This role is responsible for providing operational support, leading training initiatives, and conducting operational assessments for the restaurants in their region. In this role, you will be expected to:

  • Conduct operational assessments at assigned restaurants. This includes coaching on brand standards, hospitality standards, and food safety standards to ensure that guest and brand safety are maintained and that Boston Pizza's brand standards are adhered to.
  • Perform People and Culture assessments at their assigned restaurants. This includes coaching around people management, building a positive team culture, recruiting efforts and team development.
  • Initiate an escalation process for failed assessments and health inspections for review by the Senior Operations Manager to ensure there is appropriate communication, corrective action and support to rectify concerns.
  • Facilitate regional food and beverage meetings to introduce new food and beverage items, marketing initiatives, and training on menu execution / seasonal menu offerings.
  • Review regional opportunities, challenges, and best practices with their Senior Operations Manager to ensure there is alignment on required actions and to identify priorities.
  • Maintain notes on visits to all restaurant to summarize strengths, opportunities, and action plans.
  • Provide feedback on Boston Pizza International operating standards to improve operations, working with the Senior Operations Manager to implement enhanced programs, systems, training, and menu execution.
  • Solicit feedback from restaurant management on Boston Pizza training and development programs, providing this feedback to the training team on ways to enhance, improve, and strengthen training programs.

Who you are:

  • You have a post-secondary diploma or degree, preferably in Hospitatility Management, Business Management, or related field.
  • You have 3-5 years of restaurant experience with a minimum of 1 year of as a General Manager or 1 year of multi-unit restaurant management experience.
  • You may have Food Safety Certification, Alcohol Certification, First Aid certification, and/or WHMIS certification.
  • You have knowledge of point-of-sale systems, food and beverage inventory and labour forecasting programs.
  • You may have working knowledge of Social Media Platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Tik-Tok, etc.).
  • You have strong communication (written, verbal and presentation), influencing without authority, active listening, customer service, Microsoft Office suite, prioritization, and organization skills.
  • You are able to multi-task and manage change.
  • You are self-disciplined, results drive, and have a positive attitude and energy.
  • You have a passion for the industry with the "hospitality gene.
  • You must have a reliable vehicle and be willing and able for heavy travel.
