Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced and certified Forklift Driver to join our team at our Calgary terminal. The ideal candidate will have a valid forklift license and prior experience handling freight in a busy warehouse or transportation environment.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate forklifts, clamp trucks, crane equipment, and other heavy machinery to load and unload shipments.
  • Load and unload materials from trucks, containers, or storage areas while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Manage shipping and receiving processes by verifying inbound and outbound shipments against documentation.
  • Utilize warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory movements and update records in real-time.
  • Perform heavy lifting tasks safely, including stacking pallets with pallet jacks or forklifts as needed.
  • Assist with materials handling tasks such as using mechanical knowledge for equipment troubleshooting or maintenance when required.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety standards during all operations.
  • Support warehouse supervision by maintaining organized storage areas and reporting any safety hazards or equipment issues promptly.
  • Operate various types of heavy equipment including crane, clamp truck, forklift, and load & unload machinery to optimize workflow.

Requirements

  • Valid Forklift License/Certification.
  • Minimum 2 year of forklift operating experience in a warehouse or logistics environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced setting.
  • Experience with heavy equipment operation such as cranes or clamp trucks is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), RF scanners, and order picking procedures.
  • Mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot basic equipment issues when necessary.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting consistently throughout shifts while maintaining safety protocols.
  • Prior warehouse supervisor experience is a plus for candidates interested in growth opportunities within the team.
  • Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in order picking and inventory management.
  • Construction or materials handling background can be advantageous for understanding complex logistics environments.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
