About the role

About The Role Our client is immediately looking for an experienced Forklift Operator for their logistics facility located in Southeast Calgary.

Role Description Reporting directly to the Warehouse Manager, you will support the shipping and receiving department by loading outbound and unloading inbound shipments. Day-to-day, you will operate a forklift with the responsibility of maintaining a safe, respectful, and efficient work environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to the Shipping and Recieving department regarding forklifting
  • Monitor truck schedules and daily delivery times and shipment times
  • Load and unload trucks
  • Operate forklifts
  • Maintain inventory items related to Shipping and Receiving
  • Organize, clean, and provide general maintenance on your forklift and the Shipping and Recieving area

Skills And Requirements

  • Experience operating a forklift within a logistics or manufacturing facility
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs
  • Vehicle and driver's license to get to the warehouse site
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other members of the logistics team
  • Attentiveness and desire to complete tasks with a high level of professionalism
  • Enthusiasm for daily work and ability to support with odd tasks
  • Ability to operated your forklift with minimal supervision
