Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our logistics team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently, ensuring timely delivery while adhering to all safety regulations. This role requires a strong commitment to customer service and the ability to operate various types of vehicles and equipment.

Duties

  • Safely operate trucks and other vehicles to transport freight to designated locations.
  • Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo, utilizing forklifts or heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and cargo details.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, clients, and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
  • Perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles as needed.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.

Skills

  • Proficient in commercial driving with a valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
  • Experience in freight handling and transportation logistics.
  • Ability to operate heavy equipment safely, including forklifts.
  • Basic knowledge of automotive repair for minor vehicle maintenance tasks.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.
  • A commitment to safety practices in all aspects of the job.
