We are seeking a dynamic and dependable Professional Driver to join our team and deliver exceptional transportation services across various sectors. In this role, you will operate a range of commercial vehicles, including trucks, buses, and specialty equipment, ensuring safe, timely, and efficient deliveries or passenger transport. Duties

  • Safely operate a variety of commercial vehicles such as box trucks, tractor-trailers, dump trucks, limousines, shuttle buses, school buses, flatbeds, tanker trucks, heavy haul equipment, and yard jockeys.
  • Load and unload cargo using pallet jacks, forklifts (where certified), or manual methods while adhering to safety protocols.
  • Drive routes efficiently while maintaining compliance with all traffic laws and company policies.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Assist with moving tasks or freight handling as needed to support warehouse operations or client deliveries.
  • Communicate clearly with dispatchers, clients, and team members regarding schedules, delivery updates, or route changes.
  • Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, mileage records, delivery documentation, and incident reports.
  • Ensure the security of cargo during transit by following proper procedures for load stability and securing freight.
  • Operate specialized equipment such as forklifts or pallet jacks in warehouse or yard settings when required.
  • Follow safety procedures diligently to prevent accidents or injuries during driving or loading activities.
  • Support fleet maintenance by reporting vehicle issues and assisting with routine checks.

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving across various vehicle types including box trucks, tractor-trailers, school buses, limousines, flatbeds, tankers, or heavy equipment operation.
  • Demonstrated ability to load & unload freight efficiently using manual tools or powered equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks.
  • Familiarity with route driving for deliveries or passenger transport services such as shuttle driving or paratransit operations.
  • Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot common issues.
  • Experience operating manual transmissions and heavy haul vehicles is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Strong communication skills for coordinating with dispatchers and clients effectively.
  • Warehouse experience or background in logistics is advantageous for understanding loading procedures and safety standards.
  • Valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type operated; CDL license may be required for certain roles such as tractor-trailer or heavy equipment operation.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations related to commercial vehicle operation including DOT (Department of Transportation) standards is essential.
