Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently while adhering to all traffic laws and company policies. This role requires a strong focus on safety, reliability, and professionalism in handling freight and operating heavy equipment.

Requirement

Class 1 Driving license (Manual)

Minimum 1 year experience

Responsibilities

  • Operate trucks to transport freight to designated locations in a timely manner.
  • Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts or other heavy equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of hours worked, mileage, and fuel consumption.
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any issues that arise during transport.
  • Perform basic automotive repairs and maintenance on the truck as needed to ensure optimal performance.
  • Adhere to all local, state, and federal regulations regarding transportation and safety.

Qualifications

  • Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) is required.
  • Experience operating forklifts and heavy equipment is preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety protocols.
  • Ability to perform minor automotive repairs and maintenance on vehicles.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with team members and clients effectively.
