Position Overview
We're searching for an Office Administrator / Human Resources Coordinator who thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. This person will play a key role in keeping our office organized, supporting our crews, and managing the HR and administrative systems that keep our company running smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide day-to-day administrative support to management and field teams
- Manage employee files, onboarding, and HR documentation
- Post job openings, screen applicants, and assist with hiring and training coordination
- Track employee hours, vacation, and other HR records
- Maintain company policies, safety records, and compliance documentation
- Handle general bookkeeping assistance (invoicing, expense tracking, etc.)
- Coordinate communication between office and field staff
- Support scheduling, customer inquiries, and internal reporting
- Contribute to company culture and staff engagement initiatives
Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in office administration and/or HR coordination
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and general office software
- Familiarity with HR practices, Ontario employment standards, and payroll systems (an asset)
- Experience in construction, trades, or landscaping industries (preferred but not required)
