Job Title: Living Greens Lead

Job Type: Full-Time

Freeman Herbs is looking for an energetic, detail oriented and driven candidate to fill our Living Greens Lead position. The successful candidate will be self motivated, with a strong attention to detail and passion for living greens and horticulture.

As a Living Greens Lead your responsibilities will include:

  • Planting 'live greens' plugs into rafts.
  • Assist with maintaining and enforcing quality standards across production lines to ensure product consistency.
  • Harvesting 'live greens' into clam shells.
  • Assist with prioritizing and processing daily customer orders within required timeframes.
  • Assist with identifying and reporting any issues related to product quality, pests, or insufficient supply to the Grow Team.
  • Packaging and boxing 'live greens' into clam shells.
  • Following Standard Operating Procedures for cleaning rafts, benches, carts, and tables.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with Good Agricultural Practices (GAP) and help train staff accordingly.
  • Assist with ensuring compliance with all health, safety, and company policies and procedures.

Education/Skills Required:

  • Completion of horticultural/agricultural diploma or degree program or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of greenhouse experience
  • Self motivated.
  • Able to manage a small team.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail with proven analytical, decision making and strategic thinking skills.
  • Availability on weekends and holidays with extended hours during seasonal periods.
