P.R.Y.D.E. Learning Centres is a non-profit, community-based child care organization. We offer programs ranging from Infant to School age at various locations across Durham Region.
Position: Administrative Assistant/Accounting
Location: Head Office - Whitby, ON
Status: Permanent Part-Time (approximately 30 Hours/wk)
Hourly Rate: $25-27/hr
The Administrative team is responsible for the day to day administrative, accounts payable and receivable duties of multiple child care centres within our organization. They provide support to management and employees, assisting in daily office needs and managing our organization's general administrative and financial activities. The successful candidate for this position will provide support to the Finance Manager in the following areas:
Administrative/Financial Duties
· Administration of our web-based childcare registration and billing system, Child Care Pro
· Daily management of childcare data and information in the Child Care Pro system.
· Maintain accurate family and billing information
· Process new registrations and changes to enrolment
· Follow-up with families to collect childcare fees as needed
· Respond to emails and phone calls from Supervisors and families regarding enrolment and billing
· Support the Finance Team with other related duties as needed

Qualifications/Requirements
· Strong working experience with data management software
· Strong working experience in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Outlook
· Diploma/Certificate in Business and/or Accounting is an asset
· Three - Five Years administrative experience
· Satisfactory Criminal Reference Check including Vulnerable Sector Screening
Job Types: Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $25.00-$27.00 per hour
