Associate IT Developer

The Associate IT Developer will work within the R&D and Engineering team to develop and support RQ products that includes web and mobile platforms. You will closely work with internal teams to plan, design, and deliver RQ products.
The Associate IT Developer will have the responsibility to primarily support and implement new features, enhance existing capabilities, and provide support including innovative upgrades and bug fixes for existing legacy systems and new products.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience with SQL, CSS (Bootstrap framework), XML/JSON and ASP desired for legacy application development.
- Highly knowledgeable and able to demonstrate a strong experience with HTML, JavaScript.
- Good understanding of asynchronous request handling and leveraging REST APIs via
- Experience in working with Single Sign-On integrations and Payment Gateway integrations.
- Strong understanding of CSS, cross-browser differences, and an eye for detail within front-end development.
- Good understanding of SQL Server and best practices for data management.
- Solid understanding of software development practices and design patterns.
- Perform maintenance and support for existing legacy system.
- Strong organizational and critical thinking skills.
- Required soft skills: confident, outgoing, adaptive and willing to speak their mind when they've got an opinion to share.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:
50% - Design and Develop
- Participate in developing and maintaining large scale web applications, as per industry standards and best practice
- Design interfaces to improve user experience, and translate UI/UX wireframes to functional mobile and web elements
- Write maintainable, testable, and performant software in creating the entire platform, end-to-end
- Implement and deploy a robust set of services and APIs to power applications
- Integration of the front-end and back-end aspects of the application
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Troubleshoot and debug to optimize performance
20% - Technical Support and Implement Technical Customizations
- As an RQ product and technical expert you fully understand its technical capabilities and limitations, and can communicate them in non-technical terms
- Actively work with the rest of Engineering team to ensure feature upgrades, new developments and bug fixes are formally tested and documented
- Perform quality assurance process for all RQ products using formal automated and manually best practices
Implement specific customizations requiring technical backend updates within timelines, setup client instances, and support development of RQ products
Resolve support issues in a timely manner (based on defined SLAs)
- You will respond to assigned customer requests and issues as the highest priority (within defined SLAs)
20% - Collaborate and Innovate
- Run requirement gathering sessions with internal teams and external stakeholders for incoming custom projects
- Communicating clearly and effectively collaborating with team members to create long-term solutions for customers
- Participating in code review and performing extensive testing to ensure high-quality software through code profiling
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Write unit test plans and provide coordination and support of testing using different tools
- Maintain technical documentation and training material
- Research and suggest competitive features, applications, and processes
- Stay up to date with new technology trends, and suggest options to enhance user experience within the product ecosystem
10% - Learn and Grow

- Regularly meet with other members of the RQ team to keep abreast of current customers and their requests, and new product pipeline
- Provide expert customer insight to the Sales, Onboarding and Success Teams on what innovations and improvements should be top priority to enhance the user experience, product capabilities and features
