Overview

We are seeking an experienced
Business Development Associate
to lead our business development efforts, strengthen customer relationships, and expand our market presence. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in outside sales and business development, with a focus on sales in the technology sector. Your ability to analyze market trends and customer needs will be essential in identifying new opportunities and expanding our client base.

What You'll Do

  • Drive
    new business development
    with aerospace, satellite, and nuclear industry OEMs, Tier 1, and Tier 2 customers.
  • Manage and grow relationships with existing accounts to ensure repeat business.
  • Lead customer engagement through
    outreach
    ,
    RFQs, proposals, and contract negotiations
    .
  • Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and production teams to deliver cost-effective solutions.
  • Represent the company at
    trade shows, industry events, and customer site visits
    .
  • Develop annual sales plans, forecasts, and performance reports for senior leadership.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline data and reporting through CRM systems.
  • Take ownership of marketing initiatives, including managing social media presence, creating digital content, and developing customer case studies to strengthen brand visibility.
  • Ensure a smooth post-sales transition of new accounts, maintaining customer satisfaction and feedback loops.

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience in
    industrial or precision manufacturing sales
    .
  • Strong knowledge of aerospace manufacturing processes (machining, fabrication, assembly) is an asset.
  • Familiarity with
    AS9100, NADCAP, ITAR
    and aerospace quality standards is an asset.
  • Excellent negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build lasting relationships with senior-level decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working independently.
  • Savvy with social media platforms and enjoys posting updates and media to these platforms.
  • Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to understand pricing, margins, and costing.
  • Willingness to travel across North America for customer visits and trade shows.

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or related field.
  • 3+ years of sales/business development experience in industrial, aerospace or advanced manufacturing.
  • Established network within the Canadian and U.S. aerospace sector is highly valued.
