Job Description: Redchillies Royale a restaurant located at 720 Sackville Drive, Lower Sackville, is seeking a skilled and passionate Tandoor Chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in preparing traditional Indian dishes using a tandoor oven, with expertise in creating naan breads, tandoori meats, and other Indian specialties.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a variety of traditional Indian dishes using a tandoor oven, including naan, tandoori chicken, kebabs, and other tandoori specialties.
• Ensure high-quality food preparation and presentation while maintaining consistency and authenticity.
• Manage tandoor oven operations, including temperature control and maintenance.
• Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop and refine menu items.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment in compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
• Assist in inventory management and ordering of ingredients as needed.

Requirements:

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Tandoor Chef in a restaurant setting.
• Strong knowledge of Indian cuisine, spices, and cooking techniques, particularly tandoori preparations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple orders efficiently.
• Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations and kitchen hygiene standards.
• Passion for delivering authentic and high-quality Indian dishes.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in preparing a wide range of Indian breads (naan, roti, paratha) and tandoori dishes.
• Knowledge of other Indian cooking styles is a plus.
• Ability to contribute creative ideas to enhance the menu.
