Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive food preparation and cooking expertise, and a passion for hospitality. This role involves overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring food safety standards, and maintaining high-quality food service. The Chef will play a vital role in creating innovative menus, supervising kitchen staff, and upholding the restaurant's reputation for excellence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient food preparation and presentation
- Develop and implement creative menus that align with restaurant concepts and customer preferences
- Oversee all aspects of food handling, safety, and sanitation in compliance with health regulations
- Manage food inventory, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to maximize efficiency
- Ensure timely and consistent delivery of high-quality dishes to guests
- Train and mentor team members to enhance their culinary skills and service standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe kitchen environment at all times
- Collaborate with front-of-house staff to coordinate serving times and special events
- Uphold excellent food safety practices and ensure adherence to all relevant regulations
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, and restaurant management with a strong background in the food industry
- Supervising experience with demonstrated leadership in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Extensive knowledge of food safety standards, handling procedures, and sanitation protocols
- Ability to manage team dynamics effectively while maintaining high standards of hospitality and service
- Strong skills in food service, kitchen operations, and restaurant experience
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with staff and ensure smooth operations
- Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development
- Prior experience in hospitality or restaurant management is highly desirable
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and quality
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$69,844.86 per hour
Expected hours: 60 per week
