Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Pastry Chef Assistant to support our Pastry Chef with daily bakery production. This role is ideal for someone with a solid pastry background who is comfortable working in a professional bakery environment and contributing to consistent, high-quality output.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with daily production of pastries, cakes, and desserts
  • Talented cake and dessert decorating
  • Prepare and bake items according to established recipes and standards
  • Knowledge of Italian specialty cakes and desserts and cookies
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the pastry station
  • Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
  • Support the pastry chef with prep and production needs

Qualifications

  • Previous professional pastry or bakery experience required
  • Strong understanding of baking fundamentals and kitchen workflow
  • Knowledge of food safety and proper handling procedures
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced bakery setting
  • Detail-oriented, reliable, and team-focused

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: From $19.00 per hour

Expected hours: 15 – 20 per week

  • Cake decorating: 2 years (required)
  • Baking : 2 years (required)
