About The Role
Our client, a leading radiology organization, is looking for a skilled
IT Support Applications Analyst
to join their growing team in Calgary. Reporting directly to the
IT Manager
, youll play a key role in supporting and optimizing critical clinical and business applications that keep radiology operations running smoothly.

What Youll Do

  • Support and maintain applications: Provide day-to-day technical and application support for clinical systems.
  • Train and assist users: Deliver hands-on training and support for radiologists and staff.
  • Resolve issues efficiently: Partner with the helpdesk and IT team to troubleshoot and resolve application-related problems.
  • Improve workflows: Model and document clinical and technical workflows to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Enhance applications: Participate in upgrade and enhancement projects gathering requirements, coordinating testing, and supporting implementation.
  • Apply IT best practices: Contribute to ITIL processes (Problem, Change, Release, Security, and Asset Management).
  • Protect data: Ensure compliance with all privacy, confidentiality, and security policies.

What You Bring

  • Education: Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • Technical Skills:

  • Experience with Mirth Connect, HL7, DICOM, and JavaScript is highly desirable.

  • Familiarity with RIS/PACS systems or previous experience in a radiology/healthcare setting is a strong asset.
  • Background in Application Support, Business Analysis, Training, or Helpdesk roles is an advantage.
  • A Diploma or Certificate in Medical Diagnostic Healthcare Informatics is a plus.
