Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly, organized, and professional Salon Receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients, manage appointments, and ensure a smooth and welcoming experience. This role requires excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. Bilingual abilities and experience in retail or sales environments are highly valued to enhance client interactions and promote salon services effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Greet clients warmly and professionally upon arrival
  • Manage appointment scheduling and confirmations using salon management software
  • Handle phone inquiries with courteous phone etiquette
  • Assist clients with product information, demos, and upselling salon services or retail products
  • Process transactions accurately using POS systems and handle cash or card payments
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and retail displays
  • Support merchandising efforts to promote salon products and services
  • Manage client records with attention to detail and confidentiality
  • Coordinate with stylists and staff to ensure timely service delivery
  • Keep track of inventory levels for retail items and assist in stock replenishment

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills in English; bilingual abilities are a plus
  • Previous experience in customer service, retail sales, or cashiering preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask efficiently
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
  • Proficiency with POS systems and familiarity with technology sales tools is desirable
  • Ability to perform product demos and upsell services or products effectively
  • Demonstrated time management skills to prioritize tasks during busy periods
  • Professional appearance with good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Multilingual capabilities are highly advantageous for serving diverse clientele

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.20-$22.99 per hour
