Overview

We are seeking a friendly and organized Salon Receptionist to join our vibrant team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for clients, ensuring a welcoming environment and smooth daily operations. This role requires excellent communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Fluency in English required; Japanese language proficiency (spoken and written) preferred but not required.

Duties

  • Greet clients warmly and manage check-in/check-out procedures using POS systems
  • Schedule appointments efficiently, accommodating client needs and salon availability
  • Handle phone inquiries with professional phone etiquette, providing information about services and promotions
  • Maintain organized records of appointments, sales, and client preferences
  • Support merchandising efforts by restocking products and ensuring displays are attractive
  • Coordinate with stylists and staff to ensure smooth daily operations

Skills

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, including phone etiquette
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Proficiency in technology sales, POS systems, cash handling, and basic math
  • Bilingual or multilingual abilities are highly desirable to serve diverse clientele
  • Strong time management skills to handle appointment scheduling efficiently
  • Ability to work well within a team while maintaining professionalism and courtesy at all times

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $17.60 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 24 per week
