Overview:Clairvest is a highly reputable mid-market Private Equity firm with >$4Bn of assets under management and ~50 employees. We are looking for a dynamic and strategic Business Development Representative. In this role at Clairvest, you will play a pivotal role supporting our investment team in generating introductory leads/conversations, supporting our industry �domains� in preparation for conferences and tradeshows and creating opportunities to build long lasting relationships that will drive growth at Clairvest. This individual will work closely with the investment team and report directly to the Director of Investor Relations and Marketing.The successful candidate will be responsible for:Sourcing, Prospecting and Lead Generation: Identify, target, and qualify prospects through emailcampaigns, online research, and conference preparation. Proactively identify and contact potential investment opportunities for the domain (industry) teams.Domain/Industry Engagement: Engage with domain teams to understand their needs, industry trends, conferences, and demonstrate the value of partnership. Support domain teams in building target investment lists and monitoring industry and company news flow.Reporting: Provide regular reports on business development activities, results, and forecasts to the leadership and domain teamsPipeline Management: Work with the investment team to maintain accurate records of interactions, leads, and investment opportunities in our CRM (Salesforce). Monitor and manage the pipeline of prospects (CEOs/Founders/Owners) within each industry domain. Ensure consistent and prompt follow-upsfrom the investment team for all top prospects.Sales Knowledge and Training: Assist with developing sales training content specific to potential tools that enable effective pipeline management & sourcing. Proactively identify and implement opportunities to increase the efficiency and throughput of Clairvest�s sales process.Marketing/Presentations: Support marketing and investment teams by building content, preparing presentations for conference speaking engagements, and crafting early �pitch� materials.Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the investment and investor relations teams to support cross-functional communication and share relevant market insights. Strategic Partnerships: Support the investment team in tracking strategic partnerships and alliances with industry players, investment professionals, and other entities to create mutually beneficial opportunities for Clairvest.Clairvest & Industry Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of our strategic position within the private equity market and key industry verticals. Stay current on market trends, competitive dynamics, and the broader landscape, while aligning insights with each domain team�s needs and priorities. Successful candidates would have some of the following qualifications:- 2+ years previous business development or sales experience- A bachelor's degree in finance, business, or a related field.- Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools- Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with key stakeholders-Strong drive and confidence in the face of a challenge-Self-motivated and target-driven with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales quotas-Ability to adapt in a dynamic and fast-paced work environment-Knowledge of investment strategies and private equity principles a bonusIf you are a results-oriented and strategic business development professional with a passion for driving growth in the private equity sector, we encourage you to apply.
