Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Dispatcher to coordinate transportation and logistics operations within our supply chain. The ideal candidate will manage freight schedules, communicate effectively with drivers and clients, and utilize various transportation management systems to ensure timely delivery and efficient shipping & receiving processes. This role is vital in maintaining smooth operations across our 3PL services and supporting overall supply chain performance.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule freight shipments using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) such as SyteLine and AS400.
  • Manage shipping & receiving activities, ensuring accurate data entry and documentation.
  • Communicate with drivers, clients, and internal teams via multi-line phone systems, demonstrating excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Monitor freight movements, analyze logistics data, and provide reports to optimize delivery schedules.
  • Oversee freight documentation, including shipping manifests, bills of lading, and other related paperwork.
  • Collaborate with warehouse staff on shipping priorities and inventory management.
  • Maintain organized records of shipments, deliveries, and related correspondence for audit purposes.
  • Assist in problem-solving logistics issues by analyzing data and coordinating solutions promptly.

Qualifications

  • Proven minimum 2 years experience with transportation management systems such as SyteLine or AS400.
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, freight management, and shipping & receiving procedures.
  • Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy; proficient in typing and multi-line phone systems.
  • Analytical skills to interpret logistics data and improve operational efficiency.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with professional phone etiquette.
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Prior experience working with 3PL providers or in freight coordination is preferred.
