Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Dispatch Planner located in Brampton, ON. The Dispatch Planner will coordinate and oversee the scheduling, routing, and tracking of shipments to ensure timely and efficient delivery. Responsibilities include managing driver assignments, monitoring shipment progress, communication with clients and vendors, and addressing any issues that may arise during transportation. The role requires strong organizational skills and a proactive approach to logistics and problem-solving.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of logistics planning, routing, and scheduling processes
  • Effective communication and customer service skills for interaction with clients, drivers, and vendors
  • Proficient in transportation management software and general computer skills
  • Ability to problem-solve and handle time-sensitive challenges effectively
  • Attention to detail and capability to manage multiple logistical tasks simultaneously
  • Experience in LTL, FTL, and specialized freight transportation is a plus
  • Familiarity with Canadian, U.S., and Mexican transportation regulations is an asset
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in logistics or supply chain management is preferred
