We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Dispatcher to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in managing the flow of freight and ensuring timely communication between drivers, clients, and internal teams. This position requires strong organizational skills and the ability to analyze data effectively within a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and schedule transportation activities for freight shipments, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Coordinate and manage the most efficient loads to remain cost-effective as a company, combining shipments based on their routes and timeline to minimize how many trucks and drivers are out.
  • Utilize Transportation Management Systems (TMS) to track shipments and manage logistics.
  • Communicate effectively with drivers to provide updates on routes, schedules, and any changes.
  • Analyze data related to shipment performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records through data entry and ensure all information is up-to-date in the system.
  • Provide excellent phone etiquette while interacting with clients and vendors.
  • Collaborate with supply chain teams to optimize logistics processes.
  • Assist in resolving any issues that may arise during transportation operations.
  • Determine the best delivery methods and negotiate rates directly with vendors and customers
  • Serve as a reliable point of contact to balance drivers' safety with customer requirements.
  • Exceptional ability to schedule drivers, plan routes, and dispatch drivers to customer locations.
  • Source and book loads on Load link.
  • Create lasting relationships with customers, drivers, and coworkers.
  • Enter & Update order info in the Dispatch software.
  • Organize and maintain hard copy and electronic documentation supporting order fulfillment, pricing, and contractual obligations.
  • Preparing ACE, ACI and other dispatch related paperwork, manage Customs documents and records.
  • Dealing with conflict and being able to solve it quickly.
  • Coordinating deliveries with other work units or departments.
  • Communicating with brokers, carriers, and customers.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience with any carrier.
  • Familiarity with supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Strong data entry skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to facilitate effective interactions.
  • Ability to analyze freight data and make informed decisions based on findings.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $48,000.00-$55,000.00 per year
