Asset Management Coordinator

Our Engineering and Transportation Department is looking for a dedicated Asset Management Coordinator to join the team.
Position Responsibilities
- Collect, input and maintain data for Storm Infrastructure (MH's, CB's, Storm mains and leads, outfalls, storm ponds, Dams etc.), sidewalk and pathways, roads, traffic signals, signs, bridges (vehicle, pedestrian, and docks and board walks) and other assigned infrastructure, into the current Asset management software being used by the City.
- Getting the data from record drawings, condition assessment reports, other internal and external sources and this may include going into the field and doing data verification and data pick up.
- Creating, analyze and maintaining reports on the various assets within the department (provide information on condition assessments, Asset locations, quantitative reports, etc).
- Ensure effective and efficient asset data management collection, entry, storage and accessibility.
- Provide support to Development Engineering, Transportation & Engineering services and Corporate Asset Management related to Asset Management in maintaining the asset data base.
- Work collaboratively and communicate with other internal departments (GIS, IT, parks etc.).
- Work collaboratively and complete projects assigned.

- Creation and maintenance of asset management plans for Storm Infrastructure (MH's, CB's, Storm mains and leads, outfalls, storm ponds, Dams etc.), sidewalk and pathways, roads, traffic signals, signs, bridges (vehicle, pedestrian, docks and board walks). This includes inspection, testing or other condition assessment frequency, value of the asset, life cycle of the asset, etc.
- Practice LEAN methodologies and promote continuous improvement.
- Promote health, wellness and safety in the workplace.
- Promote the City of Grande Prairie Mission and Guiding Beliefs.
- Remain up to date with new trends in Asset Management. (through ongoing training and research).
- Road Matrix support (pulling of Data for Decision making by the team).
- Lead with Asset Management software.
- Train users on asset management software, integration of data from Engineering & Transportation (Traffic Eng., Storm Eng., Capital Eng., Signs and Signals maintenance, Storm maintenance, road maintenance, Sidewalk and pathway maintenance etc.) and Development Engineering.
Qualifications
- General knowledge of Autodesk Products, GPS and GIS data collection
- Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Knowledge of Asset Management
- Experience with Municipal asset management
- Experience working with various asset management software would be considered a strong asset (including ESRI & GIS systems, Road Matrix)
- Extensive computer experience including current Microsoft Office programs,
- Ability to work well under pressure to meet set deadlines
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to effectively balance priorities and manage your time
- Ability to work with a variety of people in a variety of circumstances
- Able to change tasks at a moment's notice
- Experience with the LEAN methodology
- Extensive customer service experience, especially dealing with difficult people and conflict management
- Demonstrated proficiency in data Entry
- Ability to use independent judgement in completing activities and performing under minimal supervision
Hours
The standard workweek consists of an average of 35 hours, with the specific schedule being determined by the immediate supervisor.
Compensation
Salary range $36.11 to $46.69 per hour as per the Out-of-Scope Agreement.
