CNC Operator Job Description
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled CNC Operator to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for operating CNC machines, ensuring precision in the production of parts and components. This role requires a strong understanding of CNC programming, blueprint reading, and quality control measures to maintain high standards of production.
Duties
- Operate and monitor CNC milling machines and CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts according to specifications.
- Program CNC machines using HAAS controls and other programmable logic controllers as needed.
- Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements.
- Conduct quality control checks using calipers and other measuring tools to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot any issues that arise during operation.
- Utilize hand tools and basic math skills for assembly and packaging tasks as required.
- Collaborate with team members to optimize production processes and improve efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in CNC machining, including familiarity with CNC programming, CAD software, SolidWorks.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate forklifts safely is preferred.
- Experience in CNC operation is a plus, along with a background in manufacturing or warehouse environments.
- Ability to read blueprints accurately and perform quality control inspections effectively.
- Proficient in using hand tools and measuring instruments such as calipers.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
