Royal Machine Solutions is seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyperson Millwright to join our growing team. We specialize in custom conveyors, industrial equipment installations, and machinery service for industrial customers.

This role is ideal for a hands-on professional who takes pride in their work, communicates clearly with customers and managers, and enjoys mentoring the next generation of tradespeople.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform on-site installation, service, and repair of conveyors and industrial machinery.
  • Lead and train apprentices, providing direction and ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Work directly with customers to diagnose issues, plan installations, and complete projects safely and efficiently.
  • Read and interpret drawings, CAD layouts, and mechanical schematics.
  • Maintain clear communication with project managers and clients on progress and needs.
  • Operate and maintain machining and fabrication equipment as required (manual or CNC).
  • Support continuous improvement and lean practices on all projects.
  • Some overtime is available regular shift 7:30-4 Monday – Fridays.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Licensed Industrial Millwright (433A) or equivalent experience.
  • Proven field contracting and installation experience — conveyors, production lines, or mechanical systems.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills — able to represent the company professionally on-site.
  • Comfortable working independently, mentoring apprentices, and making decisions in the field.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting ability.
  • Basic computer literacy (email, Excel, Word) and ability to learn or use CAD programs or Fusion 360 is an asset.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites.
  • Rigging experience.
  • Lean improvements with initiative on constant improvement.

Assets (Not Required but Valued)

  • Machining or CNC programming experience (Fusion 360 or similar).
  • Designing parts on fusion 360 to clearly communicate clearly to fabrication and machining team.
  • Welding and fabrication skills (TIG/MIG/stainless steel).
  • Familiarity with layout work, rigging, and precision alignment.
  • Experience leading small teams or managing site coordination.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.79-$45.53 per hour

Expected hours: 40 – 44 per week
