About Us

For over 25 years, La Vecchia Ristorante has been transporting guests to Italy—without ever leaving Toronto. Known for authentic Italian cuisine, warm hospitality, and an upscale yet approachable atmosphere, we continue to grow with the opening of our third location in Thornhill.

We are seeking passionate and professional Bartenders to join our opening team. If you have a love for Italian culture, craft cocktails, and creating memorable guest experiences, we'd love to meet you.

Position Overview

As a Bartender at La Vecchia, you will craft premium cocktails, serve wine and spirits with precision, and provide genuine, attentive service. You'll work closely with the Bar Manager and FOH team to deliver an elevated yet approachable bar experience that complements our culinary philosophy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and serve cocktails, wine, beer, and non-alcoholic beverages to La Vecchia standards
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and full stock of the bar throughout service
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences through professionalism, product knowledge, and hospitality
  • Anticipate guest needs and engage with confidence and warmth
  • Ensure responsible alcohol service in compliance with Smart Serve regulations
  • Support bar prep and closing duties as assigned by the Bar Manager

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1–2 years of bartending experience in a full-service or fine dining environment
  • Knowledge of classic cocktails, wine, and spirits (Italian wine knowledge is a strong asset)
  • Strong communication and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment
  • Positive attitude and teamwork mindset
  • Smart Serve certification (required)
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
