Role Description

The Logistics Coordinator, monitors, arranges and tracks shipments to and from the organization and client locations as required. Their duties include shipping and receiving and organizing inventory and

supplies as it arrives.

Responsibilities

 Shipping / receiving: unloading and loading trucks as required/trained

 Checking shipments received for completeness

 Completing shipping documents (i.e packing slips and labels) as required

 Organize logistics for incoming shipments from vendors

 Organize logistics for outgoing shipments to customers

 Contact clients about transactions and shipments

 Issue purchase orders

 Maintain relationships with carriers, transport companies

 Negotiate shipping lanes and rates

 Establish prime vendors relative to couriers / transport companies

 Adhere to safety policies, procedures and set a good example.
