Job Description

Our client, a growing and dynamic creative team in Halifax is seeking an Accounting & Administrative Coordinator to join their versatile team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a collaborative, energetic, and casual environment while contributing to both accounting and administrative functions.

Key Responsibilities for the Job:

  • Full-cycle accounts payable entry and posting
  • Accurate coding and cost tracking of invoices
  • Job costing and assist with data accuracy
  • Bank reconciliations 
  • Journal entries
  • Month-end support
  • Assist with semi-monthly payroll submissions
  • Project and/or campaign budgeting support
  • General office administration: ordering supplies, coordinating equipment, internal logistics
  • Provide administrative support to HR initiatives as needed

Experience & Attributes for Success:
  • Post-secondary education in accounting, business, or office administration 
  • 2 - 5 years in a similar, versatile accounting support role
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks Online and Excel is ideal
  • Highly organized, detailed-oriented, and proactive
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment 
  • Adaptable, flexible, and open to taking on diverse responsibilities
  • Comfortable working independently with minimal supervision
