Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to join our team. This role is vital in supporting the restaurant's daily operations, ensuring exceptional customer service, and maintaining high standards of food quality and safety. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, a background in food service, and experience managing a team in a fast-paced hospitality environment. This position offers an opportunity to grow within the restaurant industry while contributing to a positive dining experience for our guests.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Restaurant Manager in overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff scheduling, inventory management, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Supervise and motivate team members to deliver outstanding customer service and maintain high standards of food quality.
  • Handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Support food preparation and cooking processes, ensuring adherence to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures.
  • Manage POS transactions using Micros POS or similar systems, including cash handling and processing orders efficiently.
  • Participate in interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training new staff members.
  • Oversee food industry best practices related to hospitality, serving, kitchen operations, and restaurant management.
  • Assist with supervising food safety protocols, cleanliness, and sanitation standards throughout the restaurant.
  • Lead by example in demonstrating leadership qualities such as teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality excellence.

Experience

  • Proven supervising experience within the food service or restaurant industry.
  • Strong background in food preparation, cooking, and food handling.
  • Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms.
  • Experience managing restaurant operations, including team management and customer service.
  • Previous roles may include restaurant experience, hospitality positions, hotel experience, barista experience, or food industry roles involving serving or kitchen work.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to interview and train staff effectively.
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and procedures is essential for success in this role. Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $19.24-$29.24 per hour

Expected hours: 36 – 40 per week
