Tri-global Solutions Group Inc. is seeking five (5) Senior Administrative Assistants (Alberta Child Care Grant Funding and Affordability Grant Programs) to join our talented Service Delivery team at the Ministry of Education and Childcare (Government of Alberta).
WORK MODEL: The successful contractor(s) will be initially trained in office at the Forestry Building, Street NW, Edmonton, AB and after training work will be remote. Applicants must be authorized to work in Canada to apply (Canadian Citizen or Permanent Resident). Standard Hours of work are 08:00- 16:30 with a 1 hour lunch break Alberta time, Monday through Friday excluding holidays. Work must be done from within Canada at all times due to network and data security policies.

PROJECT OVERVIEW / DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES
Ensures financial accountability for the administration of multiple grants under the Alberta Child Care Grant Funding and Affordability Grant Programs:
Assess, evaluate and recommend grant funding for all licensed child care programs.
Assess, recommend and determine eligibility for grant funding.
- Advise grant recipients when they do not meet the conditions of grant funding, explaining what they must do to meet the criteria.
- Identify delivery and payment issues and recommend options for resolution to management.
Ensure services are delivered in accordance with accepted practices and within guidelines prescribed by financial legislation and Ministerial policy and procedures.
Manage and respond to complaints related to the grants.
Provide advice, information and direction, where appropriate, to resolve complaints from grant recipients, early childhood educators and Alberta families in relation to the grants delivered.
- Review incoming complaints and determine most appropriate course of action, in consultation with the Sr. Program Analyst, if necessary.
- Request additional information with which to investigate the complaint.
- Assist the Sr. Program Analyst with the complaint investigation and resolution process.
Refer complaint as required.
Other
Participate in the development of the operational plan for the Child Care Branch.
- Delegate administrative work to unit administrative and/or temporary support staff as required.
- Contribute to a positive team environment.
MANDATORY SKILLS
High School Diploma/GED. (Yes or No)
Ability to learn quickly, problem solve/troubleshoot, work independently and in a team. (2 years+)
Experience with research, analysis and problem solving. (2 years+)
Clear verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group. (Yes or No)
High degree of accuracy and attention to detail. (Yes or No)
Strong attention to detail and computer skills. (Yes or No)
The ability to pay attention to detail. (Yes or No)
Demonstrated experience engaging directly with business or government clients, effectively explaining complex data concepts, architectural decisions, and platform capabilities in a clear and strategic manner. (2 years+)
Experience using Microsoft Office Suite tools. (3 years+)
Relevant experience in a role similar to this. Experience must be applicable to this role. (3 years+)
DESIRABLE / NICE TO HAVE SKILLS
- Relevant post-secondary education in the area of office administration. Acceptable education includes degrees, diplomas and certificates (in years) (Yes or No)
