Responsibilities
- Prepare, bake, and assemble a variety of pastries, chocolates, and confections with precision and creativity
- Decorate cakes and desserts using advanced cake decorating techniques to create visually stunning treats
- Package finished products carefully to ensure freshness and presentation quality for retail or catering purposes
- Assist in food production processes, including measuring ingredients, mixing batters, and maintaining consistent quality standards
- Support food preparation tasks such as slicing, garnishing, and assembling desserts for service or display
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen workspace in accordance with food safety standards
- Handle food with proper hygiene practices, ensuring compliance with health regulations at all times
Requirements
- Previous experience in pastry making, baking, or related food industry roles is preferred but not mandatory for entry-level applicants
- Strong knife skills and familiarity with basic culinary techniques
- Knowledge of cake decorating, food handling, and packaging methods
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members
- Understanding of food safety protocols and proper sanitation procedures
- Kitchen experience in a restaurant or catering setting is a plus but not required
- Passion for culinary arts with a desire to learn and grow within the pastry and confectionery field
