We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Office Assistant to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in medical office settings, possess strong administrative skills, and be proficient with electronic medical records systems (EMR). This role involves managing front desk operations, coordinating patient appointments, and supporting clinical staff to ensure smooth office workflow. The position offers an opportunity to work in a professional environment committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
Full time, permanent position. 2 weeks days, 8:30 am-5:00 pm followed by 2 weeks evenings, 1:00 pm -9:00 pm.
Must be fluent in English and have an excellent telephone manner. We have a very busy office so the ability to multitask is an absolute must. Would prefer experienced MOA with an MOA college/university degree but will accept out of school with no experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet patients and visitors professionally at the front desk, providing excellent customer service
- Manage multi-line phone systems to schedule appointments, answer inquiries, and relay messages
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records using PS Suite EMR
- Prepare patient charts and ensure all necessary documentation is complete prior to appointments
- Support clinical staff by coordinating patient flow and ensuring timely appointment scheduling
- Handle administrative duties related to medical office operations, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $19.00-$20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 44 per week
