**About the Job**

Welcome to Square One Medical Clinic

We are looking for an enthusiastic, motivated and passionate medical assistant to join our well established medical clinic in the heart of downtown Mississauga.

We require at least 1 year commitment.

**RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Greeting office visitors and manage patient intake.
- Answering and routing incoming calls.
- Scheduling, confirming and rescheduling appointments for patients.
- Registering patients.
- Preparing patients charts and entering patient’s demographics into database.
- Filing and scanning charts.
- Maintain business inventory such as checking supplies.
- Ensure that patient data are accurate and are updated from time to time.

**KNOWLEDGE**:

- Healthcare field and medical specialty.
- Medical terminology.
- Grammar, spelling, and punctuation.
- Knowledge of working in an EMR environment.
- Microsoft office.

**SKILLS**:

- Exceptional customer service and phone etiquette.
- Ability to maintain effective and organized systems to ensure timely patient flow.
- Oscar EMR an asset.
- Ability to multitask.

**EDUCATION**:

- Medical background.
- Medical assistant certification (an asset).
- Phlebotomy certification (an asset).
- EMR training.
