Program Secretary

Provide full secretarial support to the Neuroscience and Trauma Clinical Managers including human resource processes, liaison with payroll, generation of budget reports, setting of meetings, minute taking, preparation of correspondence, supply ordering and support of customized databases.
1. Graduate of Community College Business Secretarial Program or equivalent
2. Experience with report generation from budget tool
3. Knowledge and experience with human resource processes related to new hires and staff transfers
4. Proficient keyboarding skills (60 W.P.M.)
5. Demonstrated proficient computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets and database systems for example, MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, Windows 98, PeopleSoft, Meditech System
6. Demonstrated ability to create and maintain various databases and generate reports from these databases
7. Excellent transcription and minute taking skills
8. Demonstrated excellence in effective communication and interpersonal skills within a professional environment
9. Effective problem-solving abilities
10. Ability to work on own initiative, organize and establish priorities
11. Demonstrated ability to meet project and task deadlines, excellent organizational skills
12. Demonstrated ability to develop systems that create efficient work flow
13. Demonstrated ability to appreciate confidential nature of position
14. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment
15. Demonstrated interest in new learning
16. Knowledge of Medical Terminology an asset
