1. Graduate of Community College Business Administration Program

2. Minimum 2 years current related experience

3. Medical Terminology

4. Proficient keyboarding skills (60 wpm)

5. Excellent computer skills in a variety of applications including Windows, MS Word, MS Visio, MS PowerPoint, MS Excel, Peoplesoft, Budget Tool

6. Experience with invoice management and excellent transcription and minute-taking abilities

2. Experience with scheduling and payroll in the Kronos Scheduler and Timekeeper system.

7. Demonstrated excellence in effective communication (written and verbal), interpersonal and problem-solving skills

8. Demonstrated ability to appreciate confidential nature of position

9. Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment

10. Ability to work independently and display initiative

11. Demonstrates organizational skills and ability to establish priorities

11. Demonstrated ability to meet project and task deadlines

12. Demonstrated ability to develop systems that create efficient work flow

This position is temporary until January 2027.

The Women's Health and Newborn Care Program at Hamilton Health Sciences provides family-focused women's and neonatal health services. An interdisciplinary team provides obstetrical care to healthy child bearing women and newborns as well as the high risk obstetrical population.

The Program Secretary will provide full secretarial and administrative support to the Clinical Manager, Clinical Leaders and Educators of the Women's Health and Newborn Care Program located at McMaster University Medical Centre.
