Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Restaurant Manager to lead our team and oversee daily operations at our busy dining establishment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive restaurant experience, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. This role offers an exciting opportunity to manage all aspects of restaurant management, from staff supervision to ensuring food safety standards are met, while fostering a welcoming environment for both guests and team members.
Duties
- Supervise daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service flow and adherence to company standards
- Oversee food preparation, cooking, and food handling processes to maintain high quality and safety standards
- Manage POS systems such as Micros POS for order processing and cash handling procedures
- Lead, train, and supervise staff members including interviewing potential team members and conducting performance evaluations
- Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper food industry practices
- Coordinate kitchen activities, including food preparation and hospitality services like serving and barista duties if applicable
- Maintain excellent customer service by addressing guest concerns promptly and professionally
- Oversee inventory management, ordering supplies, and controlling costs to maximize profitability
- Implement staff schedules, monitor labor costs, and optimize team productivity
- Uphold cleanliness standards in accordance with health regulations and company policies
Qualifications
- Proven experience in restaurant management or hospitality leadership roles
- Strong background in food service, food preparation, cooking, and food safety protocols
- Experience with POS systems such as Micros POS; cash handling expertise is essential
- Supervising experience with a track record of effective team management and leadership skills
- Knowledge of the food industry, restaurant operations, kitchen experience, and hospitality best practices
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle challenging situations diplomatically
- Ability to interview candidates effectively and build a cohesive team environment
- Prior hotel or barista experience is a plus but not required
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
