Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and friendly bilingual Team Member to join our dynamic food service team. This role is at a licensed alcohol establishment so it is mandatory that applicants are 19 or older, per the liquor control act of New Brunswick. This role involves providing excellent customer service in French and English, preparing food items, and ensuring a clean and efficient restaurant environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry, strong communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced setting. This position offers an opportunity to develop valuable skills in food preparation, cashiering, and hospitality operations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble food items following established recipes and safety standards
  • Operate POS systems, including Square POS, for order processing and payment handling
  • Provide exceptional customer service by taking orders, answering questions, and ensuring guest satisfaction
  • Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently, including cash handling and cashiering duties
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the kitchen and dining areas in accordance with food safety regulations
  • Assist with food safety practices such as proper food handling and sanitation procedures
  • Manage time effectively to ensure timely order completion during busy periods
  • Support team members in daily restaurant operations to ensure smooth service flow

Skills

  • Experience or knowledge in food preparation, food service, or restaurant environments preferred
  • Familiarity with POS systems, especially Square POS, is a plus
  • Strong customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
  • Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
  • Knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation procedures
  • Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently
  • Kitchen experience or food industry background is advantageous
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective communication skills for teamwork and guest interactions
  • Upselling techniques to promote menu items and enhance sales performance

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30 – 40 per week
