Our Canadian operation, Canaccord Genuity Corp., is currently looking for a detail-oriented individual with exceptional multi-tasking and interpersonal skills to join their team in Toronto as a Coordinator, National Events and Experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative and organizational support to our events team in the facilitation of events, conferences, and client entertainment for the firm.
  • Act as a liaison with event venues, suppliers, and vendors. Ensure all event requirements are communicated and executed in a professional and timely manner.
  • Monitor and oversee events from preparation and set-up through teardown to ensure adherence to planned format and overall satisfaction of participants.
  • Manage and track event related expenses and submit expense reports accordingly.
  • Provide support to events team for other admin tasks as required.
  • Assisting with special projects as required.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience as an Administrative Assistant or events professional, preferably within the financial services industry.
  • Must be willing and able to travel as required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills complemented by exceptional interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent prioritization skills with the ability to excel under pressure.
  • Excellent teamwork skills complemented by the ability to work well independently.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
