About the Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Catering Event Sales Manager to grow our event sales portfolio. This role will focus on building and managing both corporate and social event business, including galas, fundraisers, weddings, holiday parties, product launches, and conferences. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and a natural relationship builder who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive Revenue Growth: Proactively identify and secure new catering and event business through strategic outreach, partnerships, referrals, and repeat clientele.
- Client Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, social planners, and individual hosts, ensuring long-term client loyalty.
- Sales & Proposal Development: Respond to inquiries, create customized proposals, conduct site visits, and close sales to meet or exceed revenue goals.
- Contracting & Negotiation: Negotiate terms and pricing to optimize revenue while maintaining a high level of client satisfaction.
- Event Coordination Support: Collaborate closely with culinary and operations teams to ensure seamless execution of all event details.
- Strategic Growth: Identify new market opportunities, stay current with industry trends, and contribute to annual sales strategy and forecasting.
- Brand Representation: Act as an ambassador for the company at tastings, networking events, industry trade shows, and client functions.
- Mentorship: Support and guide junior sales team members, sharing best practices and contributing to team development.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5+ years of proven success in catering or event sales with a strong understanding of both corporate and social event markets.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage a personal book of business.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and deadlines simultaneously.
- Experience working with CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite (or equivalent).
- Professional presence with a client-focused, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays as required by events.

Pay: $55,000.00-$85,000.00 per year
