Assistant Event Organizer
to help execute our events with excellence.

What You'll Do

  • Assist with planning, logistics, and coordination for TorontoAI meetups, workshops, and panel events
  • Support venue setup: check-in, signage, seating, audio/video equipment, lighting, etc.
  • Communicate with speakers, sponsors, volunteers, and vendors
  • Help manage event registrations, attendee communication, and on-site experience
  • Collect feedback and coordinate post-event tasks (photos, summaries, follow-up emails)
  • Maintain event materials: banners, merchandise, badges, etc.
  • Brainstorm ideas to elevate event experience (food, flow, engagement, giveaways)

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Confident communicating with attendees, partners, and speakers
  • Comfortable with fast-paced environments and last-minute changes
  • Interest in AI, tech communities, or event management
  • Self-starter who can take initiative and own tasks
  • Experience with events, student clubs, or community organizing is a plus but not required

Requirements

  • Must be able to attend evening events (typically 5–9 PM)
  • Able to lift and move event materials (20–30 lbs)
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada
