The Opportunity – Accounting Clerk

We are seeking an Accounting Clerk to join our Accounting Team. This is a fulltime permanent position.

Position Highlights:

  • Entry level opportunity
  • Salary range $47,000 - $51,000
  • Hybrid role – 4 days in office

What You'll Do

  • entering accounts payable vouchers and tracking their approval and payment;
  • entering cash and cheque receipts;
  • assist with accounts receivable collections and related processes;
  • update and maintain the accounting project database;
  • preparing back-up for client invoices;
  • processing and auditing staff expense claims;
  • other clerical and general office administrative tasks, as needed.

What We're Looking For

  • a college diploma in Accounting Administration or equivalent (preferable);
  • some experience in office administration would be an asset;
  • an excellent attitude, willing to learn and help out in a multitude of areas needed for smooth office operations;
  • strong computer skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat and Outlook;
  • experience in accounting system, Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint would be an asset;
  • strong attention to detail and organizational skills;
  • ability to prioritize and manage conflicting demands; and
  • flexible, resourceful
